2004's "Gladiator" Litter

Aren't these the sweetest babies ever?

Should we not have the puppy for you, we are happy to refer you to other reputable breeders in this region or elsewhere who may have puppies due or available.  Please keep in mind that Dachshunds have three coats and two sizes in this country and very few breeders have multiple sizes AND multiple coats.  As a result, there are quite a few reputable Dachshund breeders in Colorado, but for example, only a couple of those breed miniature smooths; it's just a function of what the people here happen to breed.  Most of us have, at most, a couple of coats in one size or both sizes in one coat.  At this time, I only refer to show breeders from whom I would personally buy a puppy.  There are pet quality puppies in every show litter, so you don't need to be a "show" home to get a puppy from a superior breeder.

Also please keep in mind that distance shouldn't be a deterrent if the right puppy for you isn't in your backyard.  There are many ways to get a puppy from place to place - remember, we all travel all over to shows! Even if you have to fly to somewhere to pick up your puppy, in the big scheme of things, an extra couple hundred dollars for an airline ticket is probably well worth it to make sure you get the right puppy from the right breeder home safely.  Flying to personally pick up your puppy doesn't usually cost much more over shipping your puppy cargo...sometimes it's actually less expensive to personally pick up your puppy than it is to ship them.

When we have puppies available, they are listed below after descriptions of their parents.

2010 litter @ RUGER - Gator ex CH Evie JE - Whelped June 20th, 2010

(CH Diagram's Dragonsquest MW ex Rellih's Little Town Flirt)

Gator was bred by Kevin Payne & lives with Valerio Hernendez.  His conformation is lovely and his headpiece is stunning.   Conformationally, he excels where Evie falls short.  His shoulder set is almost as good as Evie's.  He has a gorgeous hard double coat that is harsh and very straight.

evie_finish.gif"Evie" CH Ever After v Ruger JE (Field Pointed)

(CH Rumor's Liqur Is Quickr v Ruger ex FC Sunrise Lightly Tanned MS ME ROMX)

Evie is my heart; she is just that kind of girl.  Beautiful in profile, she is outstanding in all ways except she needs a better head and a tighter front moving at you.  Other than that, she is hard to fault.  She is my girl.

Evie has been bred.  She is due on the 20th.

We are hoping for tighter fronts with this breeding and slightly longer stifles.  Better heads and a little more coat would be wonderful.  Temperaments should be sassy!

Evie whelped three pups on June 20th.  We have one living puppy; a smooth red bitch.

2010 litter @ Militza Raytcheva's in Florida - DC Maximus ex Jeanie - Whelped June 22nd, 2010

maximus_moving"Maximus" DC Sunrise Maximus v Ruger MW ROMX

(Am/Intl CH SilverCloud's Sunset Bandit MW ex FC Sunrise Lightly Tanned MS ME ROMX)

Maximus consistently produces elegant, beautifully moving puppies that voice on game.  He received his ROMX after being bred to only 10 bitches. He is now well on his way to his ROMO. His ROMX marks the 3rd generation of ROMX Dachsunds in his direct pedigree.  His dam, Tania, and her sire, Beachy (Am/Can CH Grandgables Blonde Beach Boy MS ROMX), both earned their ROMX designations.  Tania earned hers in only one litter of four.  One of Maximus's great-grandsires on his sire's side also earned his ROMX; that dog is Charlie, BISS CH Add-Sim's Good Time Charlie MS ROMX.

Maximus has Champion, Field Champion and Dual Champion offspring.  He has offspring with Tracking, Obedience, Rally and Earthdog titles.  He has sired a couple of youngsters close to making their Agility debuts..

jeanie_side"Jeanie" Jeanie vom Gesselner Feld

(LS GS Henry vom Franziskaner Kloster Sp, K, SchwhN, Vp, BhFK/95, BhN-Fuchs Fw: vorzuglich II. Platz ex Rani vom Gesselner Feld Sp, BhN-Fuchs Fw: vorzuglich II. Platz )

Jeanie is an amazing girl.  She is a German bred bitch from the famous vom Gesselner Feld kennel. She is a fabulous natural hunter and survived a horrible goring from a wild boar.  We think this girl is very special and we are hoping her young owner lets Jeanie try AKC field trials and earthdog tests.

We are really looking forward to this litter.  Jeanie's puppies are due on or around June 19th.

If the breeding takes, there may be select puppies available to homes that field trial or natural hunt.  If you are interested in a puppy, please contact me or Militza Raytcheva at madmadamim [at] aol.com.

Jeanie whelped 4 pups on the 22nd.  She has 3 living pups; a red bitch, a black and tan dog, and a wild boar dog.
